Application Group Licensing

Purpose

Use this form to enable a Designated License Manager (DLM) for an AMC application group that is sharing licenses.

The form is divided into two parts. Use the top part to program the local system as the DLM and enter the Group Application ID (GARID) for the application group. Use the bottom part to track the total the number of licenses that are being shared by the group. Application Group Licensing

Designated License Manager

Select "Yes" to enable Designated License Manager (DLM) functionality. This option is  available if the system has a valid Application Record ID with License Sharing enabled. Changes are updated immediately without a reboot. Selecting "Yes" enables the Group Application Record ID field.

Group Application Record ID (GARID)

Enter your 5-8 digit Group Application Record ID (GARID) and click the Save button. Upon validation, you may be required to perform a reboot or restore, during which voice mail may be disrupted.

NOTES

  • When you enter the GARID, the AMC is contacted and the purchased license values for the application group are retrieved and automatically appear within the form (they do not need to be typed in manually).

  • If you change the GARID from the AMC, you must download the new one to the DLM by clicking Change in this form followed by Save without actually changing anything. Then, distribute the change to the other nodes in the application group by performing an SDS sync.

This option is available only if the local system is the Designated License Manager.

Hardware Identifier

System-generated, protected field. When the installation of MiVoice Business software is complete, it generates a unique Hardware ID that includes the MAC address of the controller. The DLM uses the Hardware ID and the Application Record ID to identify itself to the AMC. Upon synchronization with the AMC, purchased software and options for the application group become available.

Group Licenses

License Type

System-generated, protected field. The licensed software and options for the application group.

 

Purchased Licenses

System-generated, protected field. Specifies the number of licenses shared by the members of the application group.
